Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-04

Effective date: 2026-07-04

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PreciseActions ("the service", "we", "us"). PreciseActions is an external scheduler for GitHub Actions that fires workflow_dispatch events at precise times, aiming for ±30 seconds precision, using GitHub App authentication. The service is operated by [Company Legal Entity], organized under the laws of [Jurisdiction].

By creating an account, authenticating through GitHub, using the web dashboard, CLI, API, or any other part of PreciseActions, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service description

PreciseActions lets you schedule GitHub Actions workflow runs by calling GitHub's workflow_dispatch event on your behalf. The service runs a Go API server, a Go scheduler daemon with a 1-second evaluation loop, a Next.js web dashboard, and a CLI called gh-scheduler. We provide monitoring, alerting, and notification channels including email, Slack, Discord, and webhooks.

We target dispatch precision of ±30 seconds (95th percentile). We do not guarantee that every run will fire within that window. Actual timing depends on GitHub API availability, network conditions, queue depth, and your repository settings.

2. User accounts and GitHub authentication

You sign in with GitHub OAuth. We receive your GitHub user ID, username, and email address (if public). We do not let you create a separate password. You must keep your GitHub account secure and comply with GitHub's own terms.

You may only use accounts you control or have permission to manage. If you connect an organization or repository, you confirm you have authority to grant PreciseActions access to it.

3. Acceptable use

You may use PreciseActions only to schedule and trigger GitHub Actions workflows that you are authorized to run.

You may not use the service to:

  • Abuse GitHub's API, rate limits, or compute resources.
  • Run crypto mining, spam, harassment, or other harmful activities.
  • Circumvent GitHub's security controls or another user's permissions.
  • Send excessive or unsolicited notifications.
  • Violate any applicable law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that cause harm to the service or other users.

4. Pricing, subscriptions, and billing

We offer the following plans:

PlanPriceSchedule limit
Free$05 schedules
Hobby$5/month50 schedules

Paid plans are billed through Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method through Dodo. Prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. We may change pricing by posting new rates at least 30 days before they apply to your next billing cycle.

If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your account reverts to the Free plan and may be limited to 5 active schedules.

5. Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your billing settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You retain access to paid features until then.

Refunds are generally not provided for partial months or unused capacity, except where required by law or at our sole discretion. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge.

6. Data, availability, and disclaimers

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided on a best-effort basis. Scheduled dispatches may fail due to GitHub API errors, repository misconfiguration, authentication changes, network outages, or maintenance windows.

We store your data on a PostgreSQL database hosted on a single VPS (DigitalOcean) with encrypted GitHub tokens at rest using AES-256-GCM. You are responsible for configuring your repository workflows, permissions, and secrets correctly so that workflow_dispatch events can run.

We are not responsible for:

  • GitHub Actions compute costs, runner usage, or concurrency limits on your GitHub account.
  • Workflows that fail, produce incorrect output, or cause damage after being triggered.
  • Data loss caused by your actions, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your data, repository names, workflow configurations, and any content you create. We do not claim rights to your code or GitHub repositories.

PreciseActions itself, including its code, branding, and documentation, is our property or that of our licensors and is licensed separately under its applicable open-source or proprietary license.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or create risk or legal exposure for us.

Upon termination, your schedules stop running and we will delete or anonymize your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where we are required to keep it by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Company Legal Entity] and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you did not pay.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in [Jurisdiction], unless otherwise required by applicable law.
